The Structure of A Narartive Story



a. Orientation (introduction)<- located at the beginning of the story.
In terms of narrative story, the reader or listener is introduced through the setting of the story, the place, time and characters. Usually in this section, readers or listeners aren't yet understand the story as a whole because it's still in the form of the introduction of the story.

b. Complication (conflict)<- located in the middle of the story.
After orientation or introduction, in terms of narrative story, there was a complication. In this section, concerns or conflicts occur gradually. Complication usually consist of several paragraphs depending on the exent of the conflict in the story is concerned.

c. Resolution<- located at the end of the story.
Resolution in terms of narrative story, usually there if the story lines is complex and many previous conflicts. Sometimes, the complication and the resolution occur repeatedly and not necessarily a complete new paragraph continued in subsequent paragraphs.
